MCP — Bioavailable Phosphorus & Calcium for Feed & Soil
Monocalcium phosphate supplies phosphorus in a highly bioavailable form for animal feed compounding and as a direct-application fertilizer on acidic soils where calcium and phosphorus co-deficiency limits yield. The 22% P2O5 and 16% Ca analysis with low fluorine (0.2% max) meets feed-grade specifications for poultry, swine and ruminant rations. Also used in NPK compound production as a phosphorus source. From 500 MT.

Feed & Fertilizer Use
In feed formulations, MCP provides 18–22% of total ration phosphorus depending on livestock category and production stage. As a fertilizer, MCP banded at planting delivers phosphorus in the root zone on acidic soils where broadcast TSP gets fixed by aluminium. FOB load port; CFR/CIF in bulk or 50 kg bags.
FAQ
What makes MCP suitable for animal feed compared to DCP?
MCP's higher phosphorus solubility in the acidic environment of the animal gut delivers better phosphorus absorption per gram fed. DCP (dicalcium phosphate) suits ruminants with longer retention times; MCP is preferred for monogastric animals.
Can MCP replace TSP in fertilizer programmes?
On calcareous soils, TSP is more cost-effective. MCP's advantage appears on acidic soils (pH below 5.5) where its calcium content also helps buffer soil acidity alongside phosphorus delivery.
Why is fluorine limited to 0.2% in MCP?
Excess fluorine in feed-grade phosphates causes dental and skeletal fluorosis in livestock. The 0.2% max specification aligns with EU and US feed additive regulations for safe inclusion rates in compound feed.
