MOP 60% K₂O — Muriate of Potash for Bulk Import
Potassium chloride (muriate of potash) is the most traded potassium fertilizer worldwide. The 60% K₂O standard grade feeds NPK blending plants, direct field application on chloride-tolerant crops and compound fertilizer production. Granules 1–4 mm with low moisture (≤0.5%) minimise caking during tropical storage. We export from 1,000 MT in bulk vessels or 50 kg / 1,000 kg bags to importers across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Shipping & Storage
MOP bulk cargoes load at 8,000–50,000 MT per vessel from Baltic, Belarus-transit and MENA consolidation ports. Product is non-hazardous but hygroscopic — covered storage recommended at destination. HS 3104.20. Bagged MOP ships in containers for inland markets without bulk-handling berths. Standard documents: mill COA, certificate of origin, phytosanitary where required, B/L.
FAQ
Which crops tolerate chloride in MOP?
MOP suits chloride-tolerant crops: maize, rice, wheat, sugar beet, alfalfa and most field vegetables. Chloride-sensitive crops (tobacco, grapes, avocado, potato seed) require sulphate of potash (SOP) instead — see our SOP product page.
What is the difference between MOP 60 and MOP 62?
MOP 62 carries 62% K₂O with lower impurity content — preferred for high-analysis NPK blending. MOP 60 at 60% K₂O is the standard trade grade with wider availability and lower USD/MT. Both are available from 1,000 MT.
How do I prevent caking during tropical warehousing?
Store bagged MOP on pallets in ventilated warehouses, max 10 bags high. Bulk silos should have active aeration. Our export grade ships at ≤0.5% moisture to reduce caking risk during 30–60 day ocean transit.
