NPK 10-10-20 — Potassium-Dominant Quality Formula

Crops that export large potassium quantities in harvested product — banana bunches, sugarcane stalks, potato tubers — need K-dominant nutrition during the yield formation phase. NPK 10-10-20 provides equal moderate N and P with double the potassium at 20% K2O for quality-focused production systems. From 1,000 MT.

Quality Crop Programmes

Sugarcane ratoon crops receive 10-10-20 at 150–200 kg/ha after harvest stubble to replenish K removed with the previous crop. Banana mats get 200–250 g/mat during bunch development for finger length and even ripening.

FAQ

Why equal N and P but double K?

During yield formation, K demand exceeds N and P in most quality crops. 10-10-20 prevents over-fertilizing with N while ensuring K availability matches peak uptake.

Can 10-10-20 improve sugarcane pol?

Adequate K during grand growth and ripening supports sucrose accumulation in stalks. 10-10-20 supplements K without the excessive N that would delay ripening and reduce pol.

Is 10-10-20 suitable for cassava?

Yes, at tuber bulking stage — K supports starch accumulation. Apply 150–200 kg/ha when tubers begin enlarging, 6–8 weeks after planting.
