NPK 14-14-23 — Potassium-Forward Formula for Quality Yield

Elevated potassium at 23% K2O drives sugar accumulation, fruit colour and tuber specific gravity while maintaining balanced nitrogen and phosphorus for sustained crop growth. The 14-14-23 ratio is tailored for banana, citrus and processing tomato programmes where K uptake exceeds N and P during the yield phase. From 1,000 MT.

Fruit & Tuber Programmes

Banana plantations apply 14-14-23 at 200–300 g/mat/month during bunch formation. Processing tomatoes receive 250–350 kg/ha split between flowering and fruit set stages. The K fraction improves Brix and colour uniformity for paste production.

FAQ

Why is K elevated to 23% in this formula?

Banana, citrus and potato remove 2–3× more K than N from soil during harvest. 14-14-23 pre-positions potassium availability during peak uptake without requiring separate MOP application.

Does 14-14-23 suit drip fertigation?

Granular 14-14-23 dissolves too slowly for direct drip injection. Use water-soluble K-enriched NPK for fertigation; apply granular 14-14-23 as dry broadcast or soil incorporation.

Can 14-14-23 replace MOP top-dress on potatoes?

On moderate K soils, a single 300 kg/ha application of 14-14-23 at tuber initiation may supply adequate K. High-yield irrigated potato on sandy soil still benefits from supplemental MOP.
