NPK 8-20-30 — Maximum-Potassium Compound NPK

Among granular NPK compounds, 8-20-30 pushes the highest standard potassium analysis at 30% K2O — purpose-built for oil palm, banana and citrus plantations where annual K removal exceeds 200 kg K2O/ha. Moderate P at 20% supports root and reproductive development alongside the K emphasis. From 1,000 MT.

Plantation Programmes

Oil palm receives 8-20-30 at 1.5–2.5 kg/palm/year split across quarterly applications. The high K fraction supports bunch weight and oil content. Delivery in 50 kg bags for manual circle application or bulk for mechanical spreader calibration in mature plantations.

FAQ

Why is K so high at 30% in this grade?

Oil palm and banana remove 150–250 kg K2O/ha/year in harvested product. Standard balanced NPK cannot supply this K demand without excessive N and P over-application.

Can 8-20-30 be used on young oil palm?

Yes, at reduced rates (0.5–1.0 kg/palm/year) during immature phase. Increase to full rate from year 4 when production begins and K demand accelerates.

Is chloride in 8-20-30 a concern for oil palm?

Oil palm tolerates chloride well — MOP-based K in 8-20-30 is appropriate. For sensitive intercrops (cocoa, pepper), verify chloride tolerance before application.
