NPK 8-24-24 — High PK Autumn & Tuber Formula

At 56% total nutrients with minimal nitrogen, 8-24-24 is one of the highest-analysis PK compounds available — designed for autumn cereal top-dress, sugar beet late season and potato tuber bulking when crop nitrogen demand drops but P and K remain critical. From 1,000 MT.

Autumn Application

Winter wheat in continental climates receives 8-24-24 at 150–200 kg/ha in late autumn to strengthen root systems and improve frost tolerance without soft growth. Potato growers apply at tuber initiation for sizing and skin set.

FAQ

Why apply low-N fertilizer in autumn?

Late-season N stimulates soft tissue susceptible to frost and lodging. 8-24-24 builds P and K reserves in the plant and soil for spring recovery without excess vegetative growth.

How does 8-24-24 compare to 10-26-26?

Both are PK-heavy autumn grades. 8-24-24 has slightly lower N (8% vs 10%) and K (24% vs 26%) but similar total nutrients (56% vs 62%). Choose based on specific crop K demand and soil test.

Can 8-24-24 be used on grapevines?

Post-harvest vineyard application at 100–150 kg/ha replenishes P and K in perennial wood. The low N avoids late-season shoot growth that reduces cold acclimation.
