Product overview
Single Super Phosphate (SSP) is produced by acidulating phosphate rock with sulphuric acid, yielding a fertiliser that delivers both phosphorus and sulphur in a single, cost-effective product. At 18% P2O5 and 11% S, SSP remains the entry-grade phosphate for broad-acre cereals, oilseeds, pulses and permanent pastures in markets where concentrated phosphates are priced out of reach or where sulphur deficiency limits yield response.
We supply granular SSP for bulk handling and bagging lines, and powder SSP for compound blending and direct soil incorporation. Origins include Black Sea and MENA mills with mill certificates confirming nutrient analysis and moisture. Typical buyers are national distributors building seasonal P+S programmes, cooperative networks on alkaline soils, and blenders manufacturing NPK compounds where nitrogen and potash are added downstream. HS code 3103.10.

Loading ports & logistics
FOB — loading at nominated bulk terminals on the Black Sea (Novorossiysk, Taman, Odessa region) and MENA coast (Jebel Ali, Damietta, Dammam). Vessel parcels from 3,000 MT on handysize and supramax bulk carriers; containerised 50 kg bags for landlocked destinations from 1,000 MT.
CFR / CIF — ocean freight to buyer’s discharge port or coastal warehouse. SSP’s lower nutrient density means higher freight cost per P2O5 unit than DAP or MAP, but the all-in landed cost often favours SSP in sulphur-deficient regions where a separate sulphur source would add expense.
Typical lead time 15–30 days from contract signing to first loading window. Demurrage and laytime per Gencon or as agreed in the sales contract.
Packaging & documentation
Bulk in vessel holds or 50 kg polypropylene bags with polyethylene liner, 1,000 kg big bags on request. Each lot ships with certificate of analysis (P2O5, S, moisture, granule size), commercial invoice, packing list and full bill of lading set. Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas or equivalent) available at loading port on request.
Phytosanitary or import permits for destination country arranged in coordination with the buyer. Non-hazardous solid fertiliser classification in most jurisdictions.
FAQ
When should importers choose SSP over concentrated phosphates like DAP or MAP?
SSP suits buyers who need sulphur alongside phosphorus at a lower unit cost per nutrient tonne. It works well on alkaline soils, in sulphur-deficient regions and in NPK blends where the nitrogen fraction is added separately. DAP and MAP deliver higher P2O5 analysis but carry no sulphur.
What is the difference between granular and powder SSP for export?
Granular SSP handles better in bulk handling and bagging lines with less dust loss. Powder SSP suits direct soil incorporation, compound blending and markets where fine particle size improves dispersion. Both grades share the same nutrient profile; the choice depends on your handling equipment and application method.
How should SSP be stored after discharge at the destination port?
Store under cover in ventilated warehouses or bulk silos. SSP is mildly hygroscopic and can cake if exposed to rain or high humidity. Shelf life exceeds 12 months when moisture ingress is controlled. Avoid stacking bags directly on concrete floors without pallets.
