Product overview

Triple superphosphate (TSP) is the classic high-analysis phosphate fertilizer — 46% P2O5 with no nitrogen, produced by reacting phosphoric acid with phosphate rock. Importers use TSP as the phosphorus backbone in NPK blending plants, for direct autumn PK dressing on cereals and oilseeds, and in markets where ammonium phosphates are priced at a premium. Water-soluble phosphate exceeds 95%, releasing plant-available P within days of soil contact.

We supply granular TSP (2–4 mm) for bulk spreading and powder grade for suspension fertilizer plants and fine incorporation. Typical buyers include regional blenders building custom NPK ratios, cooperative networks on phosphate-deficient soils in South Asia and East Africa, and distributors pairing TSP with urea and MOP in the same vessel parcel. HS code 3103.10.

Loading ports & logistics

FOB — loading at Black Sea ports (Novorossiysk, Taman, Odessa region) and MENA terminals (Jebel Ali, Damietta, Dammam). Bulk vessel parcels from 3,000 MT on handysize and supramax carriers; 50 kg bagged lots for containerised routes to landlocked destinations.

CFR / CIF — ocean freight to buyer’s discharge port. TSP’s high P2O5 density (46%) reduces freight cost per nutrient unit versus lower-analysis phosphates. We coordinate multi-product loading — TSP alongside urea and MOP in a single shipping programme where berth schedules allow.

Typical lead time 15–30 days from contract signature to first loading window. Payment: irrevocable LC at sight or CAD; partial shipments permitted under bulk contracts.

Packaging & documentation

Bulk in vessel holds with polyethylene liner where required; 50 kg PP woven bags with inner liner for container shipments. Each lot ships with certificate of analysis (P2O5 total and water-soluble, moisture, granule size), commercial invoice, packing list and full bill of lading set.

Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas or equivalent) at loading port on request. Phytosanitary certificates and destination import permits coordinated with the buyer before dispatch.

FAQ

When should importers choose TSP instead of DAP or MAP?

TSP suits programmes where nitrogen is applied separately — autumn PK dressing, NPK blending at destination, or legume rotations that fix their own N. With 46% P2O5 and zero nitrogen, TSP avoids excess N on phosphate-only soils and typically prices lower per tonne than ammonium phosphates.

Which TSP form — granular or powder — fits my application?

Granular TSP (2–4 mm) is standard for bulk spreading, blending with urea and MOP, and vessel discharge into covered warehouses. Powder grade dissolves faster for suspension fertilizer production and fine incorporation in greenhouse substrates. We quote both forms from the same origin with separate COA for particle size.

Does TSP require covered storage at the discharge port?

TSP is hygroscopic — prolonged rain exposure causes caking and dust formation. Covered bulk sheds or silos with moisture barriers are standard. Shelf life exceeds 12 months when relative humidity stays below 65%. We recommend tarpaulin protection during open-air truck loading at destination.
