Product overview
Custom NPK bulk blend lets importers and national distributors lock in a compound ratio matched to local soil profiles, crop programmes or government tender specifications — without maintaining separate straight-fertilizer inventories at the port. A single granulated product carries your chosen nitrogen, phosphate and potash balance in every prill, simplifying warehouse management and farmer advice compared to on-farm mixing of urea, DAP and MOP.
Production runs on NPK granulation lines at Black Sea complexes, Central Asian plants and MENA toll-blending hubs. Feedstocks include ammonium nitrate or urea for N, MAP or DAP for P, and MOP or SOP for K. The plant granulates the blend to 2–4 mm hardness suitable for mechanical spreaders and rotary planters. Typical buyer segments include agricultural cooperatives tendering for region-specific ratios, distributor chains branding a proprietary formula, and blend plants outsourcing granulation when local capacity is saturated during pre-season peaks.
Submit your target N-P-K analysis, total nutrient floor and chloride tolerance at enquiry. We confirm plant capability, quote blending surcharge where applicable, and issue a mill COA on the finished lot. HS code 3105.20 for compound fertilizers containing the three primary nutrients.

Loading ports & logistics
Custom bulk blends ship in geared bulk carriers from 3,000 MT minimum up to 25,000 MT handymax parcels. FOB load ports include Novorossiysk, Baltic corridor terminals, Damietta and Jebel Ali transhipment hubs. Custom runs require 14–25 days lead time from formula confirmation to first laycan day — longer than catalogue grades because the plant schedules a dedicated production slot.
CFR and CIF quotations add ocean freight and marine insurance. We nominate handysize to handymax tonnage aligned with discharge draft at Mombasa, Lagos, Chittagong, Karachi and other developing-market ports. Partial shipments are permitted under multi-laycan bulk contracts when the buyer staggers discharge across two ports.
Bagged custom blends ship in 50 kg PP bags with PE liner or 1,000 kg FIBC for cooperative programmes. Container lots from 24 MT suit landlocked destinations. Colour and bag printing with buyer branding are available on orders above 2,000 MT bagged.
Packaging & documentation
Each lot ships with a mill certificate of analysis confirming actual N, P₂O₅, K₂O and moisture against the contracted formula. SGS or equivalent pre-shipment inspection at load port is arranged on request. Standard export set: commercial invoice, packing list (bagged lots), bill of lading, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate where destination customs requires it.
Payment: irrevocable LC at sight or CAD for first-time buyers; established accounts may negotiate open-account terms. Formula changes mid-contract require a written amendment — the plant cannot switch N-P-K ratio within an open hold without full hold cleaning and re-blending.
FAQ
What N-P-K ratios can be produced as a custom bulk blend?
Most granulation plants accept formulas from 10-10-10 through 24-8-7, with total nutrient content between 35% and 48%. Ratios outside standard catalogue grades — such as 14-7-21 or 18-12-6 — are quoted on request. Submit your target analysis and we confirm plant capability before firm pricing.
How does custom bulk blend pricing compare to off-the-shelf NPK grades?
Non-standard ratios carry a blending surcharge of USD 8–15/MT over the nearest catalogue equivalent, reflecting dedicated production runs and additional QC sampling. On parcels above 5,000 MT the surcharge narrows because fixed plant setup cost spreads across a larger lot.
Can micronutrients be included in a custom NPK bulk blend?
Yes. Boron, zinc, copper and manganese can be incorporated at 0.1–2.0% total micro-element content via pre-mix addition at the granulation stage. Specify the micro package at enquiry — formulations with sulphur or magnesium oxide are also available on integrated lines.
